2025 Update: Kingdom Scholarship Network
In April, CPT President Joel Lawrence went to Oxford to meet with Neil Martin and Tim Murray. Neil, a CPT Fellow, serves as the Associate Minister of Oxford Presbyterian Church. Tim serves as Staff Elder at Amblecote Community Church in Stourbridge, England.
Over the past year, Neil and Tim have been working to form a network of pastor theologians in the UK. Earlier this year, they officially launched the Kingdom Scholarship Network. This is a community of pastors and ministry leaders who will meet regularly to encourage one another in their vocation as theological shepherds of the church, and promote the vision of the pastor as theological leader across the UK.
The KSN is not an official ministry of the CPT, but we are looking forward to close collaboration and encouragement in our mutual work as these pastors pioneer their vision in the UK context. The first meeting of the KSN will be this September. Joel is honored to have been invited to serve as a trustee of the organization and, in God’s grace, will return to England for the first meeting.
We have long prayed about the expansion of the pastor theologian vision into other global contexts. We are thrilled that Tim and Neil have taken the helm, and pray for them and their work as they build this community of pastors.
