"Let There Be (Song of Creation)" – A worship resource from the Center For Pastor Theologians

The CPT has commissioned multiple worship pastors to write worship music that teach and celebrate the historic Christian doctrine of creation. The second of these songs was written by Josh Caterer, worship pastor at Calvary Memorial Church in Oak Park, IL. We are proud of the work that Josh has done in writing and recording this song, and we are excited to be able to share this resource with you.

You can listen to Josh's song now:

Let There Be (Song of Creation)
When God says, "Let there be,"
The dark is pierced by light.
The power of his spoken word
Divides the day from night.
The radiance of his glory shines
So beautiful and bright
When God says, "Let there be."

When God says, "Let there be,"
The waters and the land
All come together to obey
The voice of his command.
The oceans know their boundaries, and
The mountains rise to stand
When God says, "Let there be."

For all things are from you
And to you
Be all the glory
Now and forever,
Amen!

When God says, "Let there be,"
From dust he raises man
To bear his holy image as
No other creature can.
The course of human history
Unfolds redemption's plan
When God says, "Let there be."

For all things are from
And to you
Be all the glory
Now and forever,
Amen!

Oh, God, your word
Speaks healing to the broken.
The promises you've spoken
Are always true.

Oh, God, our souls
Rejoice in expectation.
We're longing for the day when
You will make all things new.

For all things are from
And to you
Be all the glory
Now and forever,
Amen!

Now and forever,
Amen!
